Heavy Feet

It always amazes me that people treat their SUV's as sports cars. They drive super fast on the strreet and on the freeway, thinking they can do anything in their car.

Little do they know, that when you have a blowout in an SUV, you will have a greater chance of rolling it just based on the type of vehicle it is. Yes you can say that some drivers might be able to pull out of a roll, but in most cases the vehicle will roll since most drivers have not had a blowout in their SUV.

As for them zipping around traffic since they think they can see above everyone. Good luck on stopping fast and not to worry about how that type of driving tears up the engine an suspension.

Good luck on your driving habits. I'll just drive my sports car past you and smile when you get in an accident. There is no need to speed like a bat out of hell everywhere you drive. Plan you time and enjoy the scenery.

Ok. Now back to your regularly scheduled program.

Driving into the Sun

I liked the way the sky was the other day but when I had to drive into this, my eyes felt like they were bleeding by the time I got to work.

Extra-Solar Planets

Was reading the science section on NPR and came across this article about Extra-Solar planets. Seems that there is recorded text that people back then thought of us as a planet orbiting the sun and of many other suns having planets.

From the article by Adam Frank.
In the first century BC the Roman poet Titus Lucretius Carus, a dedicated atomistic, surmised:

You must necessarily suppose that there are other orbs of earth on other regions of space and various races of men and generations of beasts.

To bad the church strangled that type of thinking in the dark ages.

Emergency Supplies

Do you have a couple sets of these or backpacks already set to pickup and use in the event of a large quake.

I have two of these simple ones with water and food bars. Then I made two mini backpacks with first aid, water, food, radio and other goodies.

These will last until 2015 and then I'll have to get some new ones. Better safe than sorry.

Workout Week #2

Well I made it through Week 2, full 6 day a week regime with increased Cardio of 10 minutes from the week before. I also increased the weights on all machines by 10lbs from week one to now. So total weight increase for the last two weeks is 20lbs on each machine. Have kept my standard set of 2 per machine and 12 reps per machine with me making sure I can barely finish the 12th one on the second set. The Sets are also per recommended time for starting and finishing a rep. 3-4 seconds up and 3-4 seconds down in a slow but deliberate fashion. This lends to better workouts with better results by the end of each week.

I know everyone thinks they are an expert on weights since they can look up 1000000000 different sites on it, but this has given me the best results compared to the way I see guys use these machines in general. Full Reps ALWAYS give you better results than short non-complete reps that a lot of guys do. They say they can pump large weights but when you look at them, they are not doing full extensions so I say FAIL. :)

Will continue my journey of getting back in shape and will somehow get in shape one way or another. Per medical research, I should start to see some actual changes in my body near the end of week 3 or sometime in week 4. As for weight, I am not weighing myself until the end of week 4 since I know a lot of the weight I am maintaining is now being converted to muscle mass, and this will soon start eating away at the fat I am trying to lose.

Workout

Working out is a long and hard project. On average it will take 3-4 weeks to see any results.

I am currently on the begining of week two. Muscles are sore and feel stronger. Have increased weight on all the machines I use in my circuit training.

Let's hope it all kicks in soon since somethings got to give. I won't give up.
