Frankie....
I had to put down one of my cats this morning. Frankie... I saved him as a kitten and he has been with me through all sorts of things for the past 14 years. Always lovable, friendly and a great companion to Jerry and myself.
His last moments with me were touching, so much that even the vets performing their jobs, got a little touched as to how it all ended. Frankie was laying on the table, with his head up looking at me, then he layed his head on my arm. The vets then asked me if it was ok to proceed and all I could do was nod, and before the vets used the needle, Frankie meowed at me once although it was a silent one, and then closed his eyes. As the medicine went to work, frankie opened his eyes one last time and then closed them.
Frankie was a special cat and I will have his ashes spread on a Farm out here in a memorial to his love and happieness. He was a happy cat and had a wonderful life. This has been a very hard thing for me to do since he has been there for so long. Here are some last pictures that make me smile when I see them. I will also have a paw print made out of clay and painted with His name so I can look at it over the years and smile about the wonderful cat that he was.
