Here I sit, all full of coffee....
Then I realized that I am wide awake and know for sure that I will not be sleeping for a while. :)
The latest Lightwave updates haven't been impressive in the visual side. This is due in part to me learning settings and properties. I should be posting some things coming up either tonight or tomorrow.
Something good, this way comes.

Marfa Lights
Okay.. I have had my chain pulled before and someone tried it again yesterday. I was told about the Marfa Lights out towards Big Bend Texas direction. They told me that no one knows what they are. They float and change colors and that as soon as you try to get close to them, they vanish.
The official site for this doesn't mention that there is a Highway directly behind and to the right of the main view area. Plus if you go to other sites about this, It is pretty clear that most of the reports say that they see car headlights and tail lights. As well as other colors from Trucks running lights.
I am sure it is just a refraction thing with the highway close buy. Some people may contend that I am wrong and that the lights have been around since the 1800's. Well, no one has an official transcript of any reports of these things, only handme down tails that they claim came from an actual person.
I may go there and try a couple different things. One is to go to the viewing site and see. Then the other would be to drive on the highway and take an exit that is looking at the site with no other roads behind it and see if I can see the lights. Then, if I do, I will jump on the bandwagon that these are a natural mystery. But right now it seems just something to pull people into the local towns to keep a flow of money going their way.

Latest Lightwave Update
Welp here is night Three of my learning. It hasn't been a very good learning wise. I spent most my time trying out different things and now I am going to head home.
These images are good but I can't really make anything different yet. Waiting to learn some more things before I put the book down and head off on my own. That has been a problem. I learn something and then put the book down and don't come back to it, only knowing half the things I really should know. So here ya go. These are good. More to come.

The moon looking thing...ehhh...the cube and the cone, kinda cliche'...the cylinder that is now looking like a water well or a section of a tower...Outstanding, simply outstanding, you can almost feel the texture of the stone blocks. Try to finish the books, I have found when I only read 1/2 of a mystery...I never find out who did it, you only read 1/2, you'll never find out HOW to do it.

Lightwave Updates
Well here goes... I am going to be uploading things here as I learn more and more on Lightwave. As I get better I will post some of my advances, but not everything... well maybe some screw ups.
This image is a little better in that the floor correctly diminishes the reflections the further out it gets.
The Cam is Up.. Well at least one of the two.
I have my computer cam up. Nope it isn't remote control either. Sorry. The remote control cat cam will be up today I hope. I need to get my equipment set up in my other room before I can turn that one on. Hope your all happy now. You can see my sleepy mug in the mornings. Wait.... That should be scary enough to turn BZORG away. Then again maybe not. We will see.

Good News
I have the hardware to set up my remote cam in my room, but will not be showing any nudity on it. Sorry people. :) The Remote won't be fully operational today, but I should have the Cam up there tonight.
The other news is this. I am going to be putting the face cam back on my main computer so you can see when I am there. Not sure how I am going to put the image on the site. I might just put the bedroom cam on since the cats might be in view more of the time than me. LOL
Both the cams should be on today. The only thing is now you will see my ugly mug when I am working on the puter.

Yep it is pretty obvious to me..
I came home and found that my roommate had rotated the mounting of the webcam again. I will be turning it off until I relocate it. I will be putting a stationary cam up in its place and will let him know that no one will be able to see him sitting in his chair. Maybe then it won't mysteriously get moved of the lens go out of focus.
Sorry to give ya the news but he would rather do these things I guess than tell me that it bothers him.
Working on learning Lightwave
I am here in the Coffee Station Coffee House in College Station reading and working with Lightwave. I am starting to learn some things that are getting my mind back into the 3D modeling mode.
Here is a test image I just did with a different type of lighting from what I was using before. It is simple but due to the way that I rendered it. The time was reduced by half. This only took 10 seconds to do.
Second Image with more lighting under my belt. 1 hour from first image.
Last Image test render with some surfaces on it and light falloff enabled.
p.s. I am also going to relocate the Remote Control Cam to my bedroom maybe this weekend. Reason being is now that I have taped the focus, my room mate is physically rotating the base of the cam so no one can see him and if they do he keeps turning off the came remote. I am just going to put a steady cam for my general area of the room and in the bedroom you will be able to see the cats during the day when I am gone to work. And no you will not see me there naked. LOL I will have the came remote turned off when I am in the room taking showers and such. :)

It's been pretty slow in the posting department for me to add anything. I have been pretty busy reading some 3D animation books lately. Plus at work I have been more out of the office than in it. I'll try to make more of an effort to post on the random things that pop into my head. And no they all won't be about sex. LOL

Workout Progress
Well back to the weekly grind. I am heading out once again to the Gym. Yes folks... this marks the 5 week I have been going to the gym. I am gaining and loosing weight all in one. Muscle Mass is on the rise and fat loss is on the rise also. The overall effect is that I am lossing weight and my stomach is getting flatter.
If I can figure out how to export my workout program to an excel file I'll post it for you all to see what torture I put myself through 5 days a week. By Thursday night I am just about beat and have a hard time walking up the stairs to work. LOL
Sunday through Thursday. Off I go..... Singing....."Spacemanbob....Ohhhhhh Spacemanbob......Ohhhh".

People and Technology
Seems that people that are not up on technology or believe everything they see on TV want to believe that anyone with a webcam is a peeping Tom. There are Hundreds of Thousands of people that have web cams and only a small percentage use it in lets say not to polite ways. For the rest of us, we get grilled by the masses who think that we are some pervert or something and have Cam's all over the house to catch anyone that may happen to wander into our trap.
Another part of the web are blogs. Blogs are what you read that come straight out of my mind. I post things when I think of them. Sorrtta like a Journal or my Diary. Just because I post my thoughts does not also make me a freak. I need to vent sometimes and only my true friends know what I am talking about. If some stranger may happen upon my site, they may get confused and then label me for what ever reason.
Such is a case of a woman that saw my email address. She started snooping around and couldn't understand the whole idea of a blogger and a web cam. I am not going to pick on her but I get a lot of responses like this the first time someone looks at my page. They say. "What the Hell" "Who is this Guy thinking he can post what ever is in his mind on the Internet". Well all I can tell these people is that they should do a little more research than just making judgement calls by seeing one page like mine. Just do a blog search and see other sites. Some may have better content and some may not.
But back to Technology and People. People that have sat and believed everything they see on TV will be afraid of blogs, Cam's and in general high technology, because the media focuses on the negative things that they sensationalize. Are there any naked pictures on my site, NO, are there hidden cams in my bedrooms, NO, are there blogs about my ex on here, YES, and that is because she hurt me badly. I had to vent and instead of just calling up all my true friends to tell them what she had done to me, I just wrote down some of my thoughts.
If I wanted to really scare you all away, I would write all the crazy stuff I think of during the day. Like Space Travel, and Meaningful Relationships, Children telling their Daddy that they love him. Wait... thats not all that crazy. See... there isn't anything scary here. But who knows..... I am Spacemanbob and when you get to truely know me, you know that I am true to my words and a kind person in general. Always looking to the future three or four steps ahead, not sticking or holding onto things in the past.

One, as a human being one must think in a set mode, being that of course... many fall short of the great insight of understanding of the unknowns around him. Being blind to the world because of man made thoughts and technology, man has set his self up for believing he is the only smart ones in the universe.

As usual it gets colder in February than it does in December and January. I sure hope that this cold snap goes away soon enough. It makes it hard to walk calmly from my car to the gym without freezing my ass off.
On the good side. I am still going to the gym and working out. The bad news is that I am sore every single hour of the day it seems, except when I am working out.

Amazing...
It's amazing how the web cam goes from being in focus to totally out of focus and reset when someone shuts the power off on it.
I don't get it. If you don't like a remote webcam in the same room then let someone know. Don't pull stunts like changing the focus and unplugging the power and plugging it back in.
Maybe I am being a little wacky here but it's not like anyone can tell what you are doing on the computer anyways. Maybe I'll just move it into the bedroom so I can look at my cats when I want to.
Okay... Getting off soapbox now. LOL
