Seems that MUFON the ultimate source of UFO sightings is nothing more than just a news station now. I went to their UFO News section and all they have there is news on the Mars Rover and other astronomy related stories. Nothing on any UFO Reports at all.

If they can't keep up on their date and report findings or new sightings then it should state that there is no activity, not post links to other sites around the web. That's what gets me the most with a lot of peoples sites. They just have links to other sites since they have no real data or articles to talk about on their own site.

Give me data or shut your site down MUFON. LOL
MUFON

Guess I have been forgetting to write in my blogger for ya'll. I am still here and I am gaining and loosing weight all in one. I am gaining weight in muscle mass and loosing it in fat. :) No more grissle in Spacemanbob nope. Mean Lean Fighting Machine... Or at least that is what I would like to say one day. :) Alien's quote.

I have to remember not to drink 5 gallons of water when I come home from my workout and then expect to loose weight the next morning when I step on the scale. I gained 1 1/2 lbs and I know I didn't eat anything bad yesterday. I bet tomorrow will be a better day for weighing in on the scales to see what I really hit the scales with.

But all is going well with the workout. I am jogging 7 laps now around the rec center(4 1/2 is a mile) without stopping and an average of 2:17 per lap. Then I hit the Eliptical Stairmaster for a level 5 workout for 30 minutes resulting with a shirt that is soaked from the neck all halfway down.

I am loosing weight and I am starting to finally see a change in the mirror. I hate that. Takes two weeks to see anything when you start working out.

I'll be posting more today as I get the chance.

Well the continuing workout goes on with me. I have now been going for 10 days straight and have lost 7lbs. I am going to continue to go and get back to my weight of June(187) hopefully next week. Then I will continue on to reach my goal of 165lbs before March. It will be a long haul but I think I can make it this time, considering I only gained 10lbs overall from the Holidays and not watching what I eat. :)

The spammers of the net tried posting to my board again. LOL Now they are on the blacklist and cannot post here ever again. Why in the world would you want to post a comment to something a year ago and then try to sell viagra or penis enlarging pills for a subject that has nothing in commen with the original post. Just goes to show that these idiots who think they are making money have the intelligence of a monkey. Cause that is all they are. Just pushing a button and the robot program spams the world with their crap.

Oh well off my soap box and back to work. :)

Things have been pretty busy at work but not too busy to get off of work at 5:40pm. I then have been going to the Gym and working out for a couple hours, which has trimmed off 3lbs so far(5 day period). I am also playing Eve-Online again which is sortta fun since I am taking my time learning what to do and not in a rush like I was before trying to be the master of the Universe.

It seems that 50% of the Chineese now believe in UFO's. Could this be a catching thing for countries that are going High Tech, to all of a sudden start seeing these things.

Well here is the link. I read it and once again there is no hard proof listed anywhere in the article. Seems once again we are left to wonder about the reports that come in, even from China.

I added some more pictures to the Gallery in the Backpacking section.

I'll be heading to Roswell sometime this year as Satchmo from the Spanky and Satchmo group from Ediblebrain.com to continue our tours to the weird and wacky world of UFO Phenom.

I should write a book on the UFO phenom and dispell it or at least point out the obvious to the rest of the world. And I'll say it again. Why do we always have to go to old sightings and try to prove they are real when there really isn't enough information to go one way or another. With todays media frenzy...Camera's in phones, Digital Cameras small and large, Video Digital Cams small and large, and regular photography, there still isn't a single solid good image of a UFO or video footage that isn't all but 20 years old or later. Common.... Show Me The Pictures People.

Got this from MUFON, or at least they claim this. Most of all the UFO's are spotted in the following states.
California
Florida
Michigan
Indiana
and New York but they only seem to see UFO's the last 6 months of the year.

I have been looking at some reports through the net and it turns out that UFO's like Ghosts, only come out at night. Most of the reports show that if your going to see one would be around 8 or 9pm at night.

Why is it that you have to be outside at night to see these things. I have been up till 2am on many a night when I have my telescope out and I don't see a thing. Hmmm... Maybe I need to drink more beer. That would do it. :)

I have now installed the Blacklist for Spammers attempting to post on my site. I now have 613 entries and if any more come in I will add them or update my list to include them as banned, then upload that to the master list. I am not the US Government which takes 10 years to pass anything to stop idiots. I took action after the first two posts.

I am also looking into see how to make my site an RSS Feed. If you have a RSS Reader you can have it come to my site at Spacemanbob RSS Feed and it will be able to pull information from my site.

Story:
There are reports of an unidentified flying object coming out of northeast Indiana.

Three Huntington county police officers claim to have seen a strange object in the sky on the day after Christmas. They say it moved out of the northeastern sky, drifted toward a church steeple and then shot straight back north without a sound.

The sighting is drawing a lot of attention to the small community. An organization that studies UFO's is actually traveling to Huntington to investigate. MUFON investigator Roger Sugden said the officers reported the object was flying so low that they expected it to hit the church steeple.

The Fort Wayne airport says they saw nothing unusual on the day on their radar tape. News 8 will keep you updated.

Ok now I still want to believe but it sure sounds crazy. Three officers see something but none of them have a camera and all they can come up with is some strange object, which the reporter covering it, forgets to get any details on it. What was it a ball of light, weird shaped craft, what..... How long did it take to come from the great white north and shoot straight back up. Was it on Xmas and was it Santa Clause. Now since there is no evidence and no pictures some group MUFON is sending some bozo out to ask the same questions that this reporter supposedly did. What are they going to garner other than the sparse information we have.
I thought Police are trained to take detailed notes on things they see, so when they go to court, their testimony will stand up in court. Nope not these three officers.

Well that's it for now. As these stories come feeding into me I will post them with my comments. I am also going to do some research into MUFON and see what bunch of people are running that organization.

I am now getting some spam reply comment posts on my Blogs. These idiots that post these things need to be shot or their hands cut off for doing this type of stuff. It ruins it for a majority of the world out there.

I am still plowing through the Google Hacks book. I like it but there are so many things I want to add that I will have to go through it a second time when I make my Google Search Page with some neat links to great sites and applications.

Woke up this morning sweating..... Yes...and NO I am not sick, eventhough it may seem that I am sick in the head sometimes. Turns out the stupid heater was stuck in the on position. Which I turned off really quick. Then I realized how cold it was outside when I opened the window for the cats to go into the backyard. Brrrrr....28 degree's.

But back to work.... As promised I will post some information on UFO stories since no one is updating the Mars Rover Site.

Not to pop anyones bubbles but get a grip here. I was just reading all the stories about how the rover landed in what they once believed as a lakebed. Now this would be great news if the lake had just dried up a few years ago. We could find all sorts of things in it. But listen.... This lake has probably been dry for millions of years, swept many times by dust storms and by dust devils. I suspect that there is so much dust that we would have to dig pretty far down to find anything that might have been the actual lakebed. Even then who knows if all the radiation has destroyed any left over critters.

I am interested in them finding pre-life in this lakebed but am not going to hold my breath at them just being able to look close up and tell that "Yes, Fungus from a Lakebed" on them. Turn some rocks over and then look if you can. Dig a trench and look in the fresh dirt. Then come to some conclusions.

With all that being said and done. I will update the site from time to time when I can, and if I find something related to the Mars Mission.

I have been looking for some UFO Stories for you all, but I haven't found any good ones to comment on. Which leaves me to some options. I can go out and post some of these stories and then comment on them with my knowledge of the sky and let you know what I think, or just wait for something to catch my eye. I am more inclined to go out and just find stuff off my searches and comment on them.
Most of the stories I will comment on will not be older than 1970 but on occasion if someone has kept a thread alive I will jump on the story and post some info.

Now back to work.... Damm.... Seems like I didn't have much of a vacation at all. I have been busy working on things since I have gotten back from Los Angeles.

Here is the first image from the Mars Rover. It is in black and white right now since not all the equipment is turned on. This is just the fast image data that they can get back. The color images are planned to be sent in about 2 days tops.

Spirit Update

Controllers at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory watched intently Saturday night as the Mars Exploration Rover Spirit descended to the martian surface. At approximately 11:30 p.m. EST, telemetry from the spacecraft confirmed that it had reached the surface. The flight team was awaiting further confirmation that the spacecraft had stopped rolling. The lack of immediate confirmation was not evidence that a problem had occurred, as computer processing of the signals was expected to take some time.

I will be uploading some pictures from my trip to Los Angeles today. Among some of the standard ones from Disneyland, I will also be uploading some pictures of a couple Tall Sailing Ships from San Diego. One of which was used on the Movie "Master and Commander."

Faster World Whirls Into 2004 (Discovery Channel)

Dec. 31, 2003 The world's timekeepers, who track time using an atomic clock and the rotation of the Earth, say our planet is speeding up.

Seems that we have another reason to celebrate. This is the fith year in a row that we haven't needed to add a leap second to the clocks. The new age is a faster age indeed.
