We are such pompous creatures to think that we can survive anything that comes our way. I had a discussion with some people yesterday about Comets and Asteroids. After explaining things to them, they just came back with the standard Movie Answer. Just send up a space shuttle with explosives and blow it up. Or even better, just send some of our nuclear missiles to intercept it.
The Shuttle can't escape earths gravity. Nuclear missiles can't escape earths Orbit either. Plus, if we sent something like this up with current technology, it would be way to late to change the path of any large moving object from hitting us.
So the conversation ended with them accusing me of being a doom and gloom person when it comes to saving the human race from extinction. That is if we found a large asteroid heading to us with less than three months notice. But to be truthful, it is just plain truth, that we wouldn't be able to do a thing about it. Which brings me to a point. We are frail creatures on this planet and on the grandiose scale of the cosmos, it makes us smaller than an atom in a beach of Sand. :)
But back to reality. I am on this planet and will enjoy it as best I can. Not letting these types of things run my life or make me live in fear since I enjoy life as long as it lasts.
I get to work and while I am driving to the front of the building I see a whole bunch of trucks and cars outside. Hmmm... I think to myself, what could be going on. So I go on my way and park in my assigned spot and start my trek into the main offices.
I get to the front door and I see trash everywhere. hmm... I think to myself again...what could be going on. Then I smell Smoke or what I should say is left over from a fire that happened. Turns out someone left a candle burning which then caught some things on fire. So now there is soot everywhere and it smells like a campfire in our offices.
Such is life in the big city.

Sometimes the Carbon droppings from a fire can help short circuit some things out. But only if there is a large ammount.
Dear Bonnie,
I am ok. I just had a short memory lapse and haven't written on my blogger for a week is all. That's why the main page is as empty as a blue background. :)
I have this weekend off thank goodness, I'll be working on some things and hopefully I will put some more rantings and ravings on UFO's this weekend.

Do you get big semester breaks off like the students? Any travel plans?
Well during my duties and waiting for other people to finish conversions with our email I decided to color something. Hope you like it. Turned out pretty good.

Saw 'Matrix 3' this weekend. Thought it was much better than Matrix 2. I thought that was a big disapointment until I rented it and watched it 3 more times, it seemed to grow on me, like bzallpe on a furger
I have been thinking of space related things recently but am not sure where to proceed with my postings. Hmm.. Sometimes I think I should create a new webpage to it but other times I think I should just post it to my forum. I think I'll just post it to the forum for now and see if it is worth the effort to make a whole page out of it.

Was the matrix 3 any good? I thought the first half of matrix 2 was way to pokey and that the movie only picked up steam wyhen Agent Smith arrived. I just love Agent Smith. I can't watch Lord of the Rings without thinking that both roles for him are of a charecter who does not like, trust or care at all for humans. Geez, have you heard him talk in his normal Oz accent? what a hoot!
Looks like I may have to mount the Web Cam someplace else or turn off the ability for it to see anything of my roomies computer. He disconnects the power to the remote control motor every morning. Bothers me a little but if he wants it that way then I will redesign the places to look at and make sure that it doesn't see anything he does.
I'll talk to him about this and see if he is ok with that. Either this or I will have to move it to my bedroom where there won't be much action there except to see my cats sleeping or eating, or maybe me walking out of the shower at the wrong time. LOL
