For the time being, I am going to make them pop up in idividual pages until I can figure it out with CSS.
They should be up soon.
Who doesn't think about it.
Ok I know I like this and it doesn't have anything to do with having a pee hard-on in the morning. Most women hate doing the nasty in the morning for some reason. Why is that.
Something I have been saving up for, for a long time is finally waiting for me at the post office. And no it isn't a blow up doll. LOL
I will post a picture on it tomorrow morning.
I put together a Dual Processor system last night. Hmmmm.. AMD's MP 2600+ which clock out around 2.2 gig. I installed everything checked it twice, and booted the system. Installed Windows XP Prof and when it was all finished installing, all it saw was one processor. I got upset about this since I did pay for the Dual Processor board and the extra processor. So I installed Windows 2000 Prof instead thinking that maybe it was something to do with XP. Once again failure. Only one processor shows up.
I am not in contact with the company that sold me this combo and see what they have to say about it. If they can't come up with a good answer then I will have to return these to them and wait till I can buy a Xenon Dual Motherboard system.
You maybe asking why I need that. Well, when I do my renders in Lightwave, they take a long time. This way I will be able to render twice as fast as well as having a machine that will complete things I am working on faster.
More information will be posted as I find things out.
Well, I have spent a small amount of time working on my project that I got from the Post Office. The Storm Trooper Armor. This weekend I spent a little time building the Helmet, which was one challenge I can tell you. I am glad it is done and over with. Now comes the other part, getting all the other armor to fit correctly. I am also working on making a Star Wars Blaster out of PVC which looks pretty good on paper.
But with no further ado. Here is a picture of the Helmet. And yes, you can't see things clearly out of the lenses. No wonder people had a hard time walking around in them.

I guess when you've been living on your own with no real Girlfriend living with you, you end up having some really interesting dreams.
I won't go into the details of it but I can tell you I was almost smoothered by a really nice pair. Too bad it was only a dream. LOL
Well, back to the real world. All work and no play. Well, maybe a little play.
I will continue learning basic CSS tags and how the work in the scheme of html overall.
As I progress, look for some changes in the site. And as I promised I will get more of the links up and running as I learn what I am doing. I'll also get the forums up and running too.
I added a new feature that I have been wanting to add for a long time. Computer screen grabs. Now you can see if I am looking at dirty pictures at work. LOL
Actually you will most likely see me working on Web stuff, or working on Microsoft stuff at work. It all depends though on how busy I am at work.
Another portal into some of the things I do.
I am working on making the Computer screen grabs reload correctly. Right now there is a Java issue and a refresh issue going on. I am working with the company that makes the Java Applet that is supposed to fade to the next image automatically. Until that is resolved you may have to close your browser in order to get a new image to show up from the last time you visited the Comptuer Cam Page. Once again I think it is related to IE not recognizing standard Java code. It seems to work at home though so I am not sure what the solution will be yet.
Hope to put an update on this soon.
UPDATE
I put a link to the Java Updates on the Computer Cam page. If you click on either one of these you should get the proper java download. This is weird. The Internet Explorer version is 1.4.0.3 and the Mozilla version is 1.4.2. Since I have mozilla installed I got that java package installed and now it works for IE also, even though I had 1.4.0.3 for IE
Sooo Here is what I have done. If you are using IE try the link and get java installed. Reboot the computer and see if the image fades to a new image. If it doesn't during the day, your only other option right now is to get Mozilla installed on your machine and then click the link I have to get that java package. Then you can uninstall mozilla if you want, and everything will work just fine.
I have to say once again. Microsoft and their proprietary crap is the cause for things not working correctly with java. Someone kick them in the pants will you. :)
Well the place that sold me the bad processor came through. I slapped the other processor in and now I have a dual Processor system that is running almost at the equivilent of dual 2.3gig processors. Which comes out to almost the same speed as some Servers that companies run their software on.
I am now in the process of installing software and will do some testing to see if it is faster than the system I am on now. It should be.
I'll be a flyin high if this works.
Woooo Hooo!!!!!
Ok this is starting to piss me off again. We now have the Mozilla and Internet Explorer Wars. Something looks good in IE but looks better in Mozilla. Mozilla uses Java 1.4.2 IE uses 1.4.0.3. If you are unlucky enough to upgrade your Java in IE then some of my Java applications won't work, like the fading images. The Remote Control Cam should work. But here is the kicker, If you use or installed Mozilla and then got the Java update from SUN.com you now have 1.4.2 for everything since it is a newer version of Java. Now when you launch IE the Fading images will work but the Remote Control Cam won't, or at least the image coming from the camera won't update. The camera will zoom all over the place with the remote controls, but you won't be able to see anything from it every 5 seconds.
So the Wars are on AGAIN. Now I am have to see if there is any other software out there that is newer for the Remote Control Cam. If webcam32 doesn't update it's software, I may be forced to either buy new software or just get rid of the remote option till someone comes out with some that utilizes NEW Java.
Arghh!!!!
I am heading out of town for a couple days, so keep watch of Spacemanbob.com. Make sure it doesn't fly away.
I'll be leaving at 4pm today. Cya Sunday.
Yesterdays Flight home was interesting to say the least. I was ready for the takeoff and so were all the other passengers. We started out down the runways. FULL SPEED...... Then it happened. PUT THE BRAKES ON!!!....... Yep halfway down the runway right before the nose was about to lift off, the pilot slammed on the brakes. We all looked at each other wondering what the heck just happened.
**This is the Pilot. We had some strange readings on one of our gauges so we decided to abort the takeoff** Hmmm... Maybe they forgot to go to the bathroom and wanted to make one last pitstop. LOL But really, it wasn't too scary at least from my point of view. I ended up getting to other airport 1 hour late from the takeoff to my final destination. Bummer... Had to sleep in a Motel6 and had Tom Bodet give me a wakeup call at 6am.
Its been a long day but I am glad to be back at work and alive.
I'll see about putting up some more links tomorrow if I'm not to busy.
Talk to you all later.
Well there is a Hurricane hitting just south of Houston. I can see on the radar that the rain front is just 50 miles outside of my town. Looks like we maybe in for some rain as soon as the jetstream gets a hold of this thing and blows it our way.
I don't know how to answer that becasue I can go both ways on it.
So far my experience with setting up an email server is more positive than negative. But this is just for the initial setup. I think during the lifetime of the server it will be more of a headache due to the maintenance and upkeep of user information, but once again that is to be seen.
One end I do see being a problem is that due to everyone needing to use Outlook as their email client, we will be open to a lot more Virus's do to the hackers targeting Outlook as the spreader. One good thing is that we have Virus protection on the Exchange Server as well as anti-virus on each computer in our network.
Only time will tell how this helps on my search for Administration Knowledge, but I am sure it will, since I have now conquered another Server issue. Next Stop...The Linux Zone!!!!
Last night was a long day. The Groupwise Email Server for the Web Crashed Hard. Basically I was on the phone with tech support till 10:45pm last night. The guy told me that he would get working on it again this morning at 8am. Now this would have been neat to see happen if we had Exchange up and running full steam. Then it wouldn't have been such an issue.
Right now I know I will have about a million calls from people telling me they need it up to do their jobs. There is nothing I can do at this time though since I will be relying on the tech support to get it reconfigured and working.
Today is also interesting in that we are supposed to start moving the Computer Department to another room. This will top off the fact that some other people are coming over to help with some migration software for Groupwise to Exchange 2000. Weeeeeeee!!!!!
This is a full week to say the least.
Today was a better day than the day of the Crash. LOL
We got the Web Email Server back online and got the connectors for the Exchange Server and Groupwise to see each other. Now I can get to the task of switching people over one by one to Outlook. It will still be a task to get 200 people over onto it but at least it has now begun.
It is now bedtime for me since I was up late yesterday. See you all tomorrow.
Today was another one of those days that never end. Just when you think your getting ready to leave something comes up and you end up having to work another 4 hours. What I ended up working on was the new email server getting the software configured to send emails to both systems and to acknowledge the existance of both people on each side of the mail servers. If this sounds complicated, it is.
Hope to see you all bright and early tomorrow. Cause I know my cats will wake me up like they always do to feed them at 6am sharp.
I am off to get something to eat and to maybe catch Pirates of the Caribean. I'll let you know if I see it and what I think of it.
Just saw Pirates at the Theater tonight.
I liked it and I will probably own it when it comes out on DVD. I may go see it again but only if I bring a blanket to the theater. Boy was it cold in there. Good Special Effects, Plot Twists, and good acting as always from Jonny Depp.
Thunmbs up from me. :)
I am headed off to school for a week to learn how to get into the inner workings of Exchange 2000. I will be an email guru when I am done. WooHoo!!!!
Welp I have now been to class for 3 days and things are getting interesting. We will be getting to the end of this Exchange class and I will know more than I ever wanted to know. In fact so much information that I am sure I will need to pull out the book to remember what I learned.
Another thing I learned is not to eat all the goodies they have for us in the class. I have gained 2 pounds. Ouch. But I know how to get rid of that. Have wild sex for a day and that will get rid of it. LOL Right... Hmmm Sounded good. I'll just watch what I eat and should be fine by Friday again.
If you have no idea what Exchange is, it is like a technical book of information 400 pages long and each page has new features so by the time you finish the book, you have no clue as to what the first part taught you. It's HUGE!!!!
I'll get the hang of it though.
Welp, today is a big move for me in the office. I am moving to a new location where I will finally have an office of a sort. It will be short lived in a sense since I will be moving to a newer location in a month or two. But at least I will have more space to move around and will feel more at home in the working environment.
Should be an interesting day to say the least.
Well, the Moving goes on. At least I got all the computers and my desk over. Now comes the hard part. Trying to get all the books and software back in the desk that I had before I moved. I am thinking of just leaving some of it in boxes but will have to see. So in a way today, it was a success .
